Terms of service

1. Introduction

Welcome to bloops, operated by Unserious Labs Ltd ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the bloops mobile app, website, or related services (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Use of the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use bloops. If the law where you live requires you to be older to consent to online services, you must meet that higher age requirement or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account created through an available sign-in provider, such as Apple or Google. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your account secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You may not impersonate another person or use a username that infringes another person's rights.

4. Payments and paid features

bloops may offer subscriptions, one-off purchases, credits, or other paid features. The price, billing period, included features, and any additional terms will be shown before you confirm a purchase.

4.1 Subscriptions

• Billing. Subscription fees are charged in advance at the price and frequency shown when you subscribe.
• Automatic renewal. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Your payment account may be charged within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Cancellation. You can manage or cancel an App Store subscription through your Apple ID subscription settings. You must cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge. Deleting your bloops account or the app does not automatically cancel a subscription.
• Access after cancellation.Unless a refund is required by law or the applicable app store's rules, you will keep access to subscription benefits until the end of the paid billing period.
• Free trials and offers. If a free trial or promotional period converts to a paid subscription, this will be disclosed before you start it. You must cancel before the stated deadline to avoid being charged.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices with the notice and consent required by applicable law and app-store rules.

4.2 One-off purchases and credits

One-off purchases, including any packs of creation credits or feature allowances, are charged when the transaction is confirmed. Unless required by law or app-store policy, purchases are final and non-refundable. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or resold, and may be subject to usage or expiry terms disclosed at purchase.

4.3 Payment processing and refunds

In-app payments are processed by Apple through the App Store, not directly by us. Your purchase is also subject to Apple's payment terms and privacy policy. Refund requests for App Store purchases must normally be made through Apple. Nothing in these Terms limits refund or cancellation rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

4.4 Changes to paid features

We may add, change, limit, or discontinue paid features. A change will not remove access you have already paid for during the applicable billing period unless necessary for legal, security, or technical reasons, in which case any remedy will be provided as required by law.

5. Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the Service. You agree not to:

• use the Service for an unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or another user's data;
• scrape, copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Service except where we have given written permission;
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it; or
• bypass safeguards, content limits, moderation systems, or access controls.

6. User content and generated content

6.1 Your content

You are responsible for prompts, messages, images, audio, files, comments, interactive bloops, and other material you create, upload, publish, or share through the Service ("User Content"). You retain any rights you already hold in your User Content.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, process, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content only as needed to operate, improve, secure, and promote the Service. This includes displaying content you choose to make public or unlisted and enabling other people to open and share it.

You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

6.2 AI-generated material

bloops uses artificial intelligence to help create and edit interactive content. Generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or similar to content generated for other users. You must review generated content before publishing or relying on it. We do not guarantee that generated material is unique, suitable for a particular purpose, or free from third-party claims.

6.3 Prohibited and objectionable content

You must not create, upload, or share content that:

• is illegal, threatening, abusive, hateful, or harassing;
• sexually exploits or endangers children;
• promotes violence, self-harm, fraud, or dangerous activity;
• contains malware or attempts to collect data without permission;
• infringes intellectual property or privacy rights; or
• otherwise creates a risk to users, the public, or the Service.

We may review, restrict, remove, or report content and may suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached. Users can also report content and block creators in the app.

7. Public content and third-party services

Content you publish as public may appear in feeds, on bloops.io, in the public app index, and through share links. Unlisted content may be accessible to anyone who has its link. Please do not publish information you want to keep private.

The Service may use or link to third-party platforms, data, and services. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, security, or terms.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account through the app. We may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or limit features if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or misuse the Service. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will survive.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all express and implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service or generated content will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unserious Labs Ltd and its officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms here and update the effective date. Where required, we will give additional notice in the app or through another appropriate channel. Continuing to use the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
